Our Impact

Impact on Members

  • Children: Roi Charity proudly serves 50 pupils—26 in the Nursery section and 24 in the Primary section. As a mixed school with 17 male and 32 female students, these children benefit from quality education, essential life skills, and opportunities that prepare them for a brighter future. Six dedicated teachers and two cooks ensure a nurturing and supportive learning environment for the students.
  • Staff and Employees: With a team that includes six teachers, two cooks, and ten gardeners for the agricultural project, Roi Charity provides meaningful employment and opportunities for professional growth. Staff members find purpose and fulfillment in their contributions to the organization’s goals.
  • Volunteers: Roi Charity’s programs are supported by five passionate volunteers, who bring their skills and energy to help transform lives. Volunteers gain personal growth and satisfaction as they contribute to meaningful causes.
  • EchoFeel Group Members: EchoFeel empowers 47 deaf individuals under the age of 30, offering advocacy, social interaction, and resource sharing. Many of these members have children enrolled at Roi School, strengthening the community connection. The group is supported by three staff members and five volunteers who ensure its impactful operation.
  • Tailoring Trainees: Roi Charity currently has five tailoring trainees learning skills that empower them to become self-sufficient, fostering financial independence and resilience.
  • Directors: The leadership team has actively sought partnerships with over 10 organizations, successfully securing one potential partner to amplify our mission and impact.

Impact on the Community

  1. Community Gathering Space: The classrooms at Roi School double as community halls, providing a venue for local gatherings, meetings, and events. This fosters a sense of unity and shared purpose within the community.
  • Polling Center During Elections: Roi School serves as a polling center, ensuring that community members have easy and accessible voting facilities, thereby supporting civic engagement and democratic participation.
  • Community Playground: Our school field is more than a space for student activities—it serves as a community playground where children and families come together to enjoy recreational activities.
  • Inter-Community Games and Sports: We organize various games and competitions, fostering camaraderie and inclusivity between EchoFeel members and local community members. Events include football and netball matches, as well as traditional games like ludo and cards, strengthening bonds and encouraging healthy interaction.

Impact on Uganda

On a national level, Roi Charity is contributing to Uganda’s development goals by:

  • Promoting Quality Education: Roi Charity aligns with Uganda’s goal of universal education, ensuring all children—including marginalized groups—can access quality learning opportunities.
  • Food Security: Our agricultural project, operating on 3 acres of rented land, grows maize, Irish potatoes, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes to meet the nutritional needs of 50 children daily. Surplus food is donated to EchoFeel members once a month, further supporting the community.
  • Economic Growth: Roi Charity empowers vulnerable populations with skill-building programs that contribute to local economies.

Impact on the Government

Roi Charity complements government efforts by:

  • Reducing Pressure on Public Resources: Our self-sustaining agricultural initiatives help feed students, staff, and the community, lowering the demand for government-supported aid.
  • Supporting Inclusive Development: EchoFeel’s advocacy aligns with government priorities to empower individuals with disabilities.

  • Donors and Sponsors: Well-wishers witness their contributions making tangible differences, such as 50 children receiving education, 47 EchoFeel members gaining empowerment, and monthly food donations to needy families.
  • Collaborators: Partners gain the satisfaction of working with a results-driven organization that values their support and amplifies their impact.
  • Supporters: Community members and sponsors take pride in knowing they are part of a transformative movement that creates sustainable change.

A Shared Legacy of Transformation

Every pupil educated, crop harvested, and barrier overcome at Roi Charity contributes to a stronger, more inclusive Uganda. With the collective efforts of our 10 gardeners, six teachers, dedicated staff, volunteers, and leadership, we are building a foundation for future generations. Together, we are turning challenges into opportunities and creating a legacy of empowerment and hope for communities, the nation, and beyond.
