In January 2024, Roi Nursery & Primary School was launched as an initiative under Roi Charity to support children in Wobulenzi, Uganda. The school provides quality education while incorporating practical skills in agriculture and tailoring, equipping students with valuable life skills.
Classes officially started on February 20, 2024, with 50 students. Over the past year, enrollment has grown to 75 students, reflecting the school’s increasing impact. Currently, the school offers classes up to Primary 5, with a goal to expand to Primary 7 in the next three years by constructing additional classrooms.
Beyond academics, Roi Nursery & Primary School is a beacon of hope for children from diverse backgrounds:
✅ 20 children raised by single mothers.
✅ 18 children from single-parent households.
✅ 17 children with deaf parents facing communication challenges.
✅ 15 children from underprivileged areas affected by financial hardship and substance abuse.
Head Teacher Mr. Daniel Kangave leads the school, supported by six dedicated teachers. The Nursery section, overseen by Nantumbwe Agnes, has two teachers, while the Primary section, led by Mr. Kangave, has four teachers. Together, they are committed to nurturing a supportive learning environment.
