Young Mothers Tailoring Project

Project Overview

A team of five young mothers (ages 16 to 21), led by Lydia Achen, produces school uniforms and other clothing styles at Roi Nursery & Primary School. These mothers, whose children were among the first under Roi Charity's care, are learning foundational skills with plans to become future trainers, creating a cycle of empowerment and skill-sharing for the community.

Young mothers aged 16-21 face extreme poverty and lack of economic opportunities, making it impossible to support themselves and their children. Without skills training and income, they remain trapped in cycles of dependency.
Provide tailoring training, equipment, and materials to young mothers, enabling them to produce school uniforms and clothing for sale, achieving economic independence while their children receive education at Roi School.
