Our History
The name Roi is derived from the Hebrew word meaning 'The Lord is my Shepherd,' inspired by Psalm 23. This biblical passage symbolizes God's guidance, protection, and care for His people, much like a shepherd watches over his flock. The name embodies Roi Charity's commitment to caring for and guiding marginalized children and individuals, ensuring no one is left behind. Just as God leads His people to safety and provision, Roi Charity serves as a guiding force for those in need, operating from Vubyabirenge, Plot 136, Ntinda Stretcher in Kampala, Uganda, with a mission to uplift marginalized children and individuals with disabilities through education, healthcare, and income-generating initiatives.
